With the introduction of non-domain member protection in DPM 2010, there seems to be some confusion using the SetDpmServer.exe. Over at the Ctrl-P blog, they posted clarification on the correct syntax.

Basically you can use either:
(A) the [-updatepassword] with the [-isNonDomainServer] parameters together
-or-
(B) the combination [-isNonDomainServer] and [-userName <userName> [-productionServerDnsSuffix <DnsSuffix>]]
-BUT-
Not (A) and (B) at the same time.

If you wanted to refresh the information on an agent in DPM 2007, you had to refresh the information on all the agents which was a real pain if you had a high number of agents. This issue has now been addressed in DPM 2010, now you can select a single agent, hit the "Refresh information" button and it will just refresh the info for that one agent. No more will I have to sit and wait for the one agent I am interested in to refresh while all the other agents refresh first.
This is only a minor change but a very helpful improvement.

Attaching manually installed DPM agents to a DPM server has just become a bit simpler in DPM 2010.
The same process needs to be followed to install an agent manually as in DPM 2007 which can be found here http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb870935.aspx.
Where it has got simpler is attaching the agent to the DPM server. Previously you needed to open the DPM Command Shell and run a PowerShell script (Attach-ProductionServer.ps1) with the relevant parameters, now you just use the normal install wizard and select "Attach agents".
