The error in the picture below seems to be popping up more and more with people that are using an evaluation copy of Firestreamer. The evaluation copy of this software is only valid for 30 days and after this time it will go into a read-only mode which will cause tape protection to fail and the error to be generated. You can confirm that the error is due to an expired Firestreamer license within Firestreamer itself. Select Activity from the tree and you should see a warning stating the medium is write protected and an error stating that you need to purchase a license as in ...

If you try to run DPM cmdlets in the DPM Management Shell on a computer other than the DPM server after installing SP1 you will probably see this error.
And, after following the instruction in the error to reboot you will continue to receive this error. What is actually causing this fault is that the DPM Management Shell on the computer you are running it on has not been upgraded to SP1. Download and install SP1 for the DPM Management Shell from http://www.microsoft.com/dpm and your ability to run PowerShell scripts for DPM from a remote computer will be back.
